One Cloudfull Night

One cloudfull night I gazed upon your face...so full of light,
I held you by two candles bright,
Glass in hand as birds soared into a full mooned night.

One cloudfull night...along the sand we strolled,
To the sea washed cove and laid upon the shore,
Two warm bodies bathed in the elusive moon and the chill breeze.

One cludfull night, I held your warmth in mine,
Bated breath from deep within,
Leaping souls as a gaze from our eyes chanced to pass my face.

One cloudfull night, as the face in the moon happened brighter,
I caressed your dainty hand,
Each stroke a longing for your soul to want.

One cloudfull night, as the stars in the heavens prayed,
Asking what you thought, hesitation you gave, your heart's true bearing, a kiss upon your lips,
My deep love so long locked, unlatched and fanned as a burning ember.

One cloudfull night, by paling moonlight,
My feelings revealed to you a happy sense,
You told me you were mine,

One cloudfull night, my words were not sublime,
Tripping themselves on a careless tongue, as I met you with a kiss upon full red lips,
As they do in Paris by un-natural lamps.

One cloudfull night, a hand in mine I held so tight,
Back to a carriage we danced, stopped short, two bodies in an embrace,
Towards the heavens gave I thanks.

One cloudfull night, cold ears warmed by my lips,
We floated as Gods do upon their chariots, to a place where we were to part,
My heart sank as a stricken ship by wave.

One cloudfull night, I sit alone,
Empty demitasse and glass full of ash, thinking upon the night I saw you last,
My heart dashed, for I do not think you could ever love me so.

One cloudfull night, as love locks itself back in it's chamber,
Thoughts so dear put into a box of treasure,
As you silently sleep beyond my reach, upon a cloud of down.

One cloudfull night, dreams slipping silently around your red-bathed head,
My thoughts drift back to how you made my heart race,
Like a horse upon a dew sparkled plain.
