I'm sorry for not understanding,
Making your life a maze,
Pulling you away from what you wanted,
Asking you to change.

I'm sorry for not realizing what was inside,
Confusing thoughts that pushed you away,
Ages apart that others couldn't fathom,
Telling you my love was just a charade.

I'm sorry it all had to end so soon,
Distant talks that turned to fights,
Seeing you less made me so different,
Making our inner hearts an empty tomb.

I'm sorry in the end I lost you,
Wondering if there was something else to say,
You loved me once with heart, mind, body and soul,
Now it's just a memory that has faded away.

I'm sorry your lines came first in vain,
Precious words echoing in the dark corners,
I let you down by not listening to your needs,
Nothing can fix the story surviving in my dreams.
