Maybe One Day

Foolish notions of trying to hang on,
Seeing what's not real,
Wanting to live the fairy tale.

Hearing it twice in one life,
Finally "getting it" I guess,
Two times, twice the charm.

Asking in vain for it to continue,
Rebuffed by the cliché phrase,
"Maybe one day", translation:
"I'm with another, so go away!"
