Last Call
Sitting on the phone trying to get some feeling,
Her words were harsh and my heart was dealing,
A deck of pain, looking for a Queen that wasn't appearing.
She said I wasn't what she wanted,
Ancient words circled the room like it was haunted,
My tears were falling, my heart felt taunted.
Emotionless, she talks of our relation in vain,
Different from the days when we walked lover's lane,
Her words were filled with hate, driving me insane.
I tried to deal some hearts but they all fell down,
Looking into blue keys and searching for sound,
She was gone, the click of silence most profound.
So it is that she left the table,
Looking for a game with another label,
A suite of Kings, instead of a Joker.
