Letting Go

I’ll always remember,
How can I forget,
The smiles...the laughter...a seamless dream,
Your face engraved in my memory.
Happiness I’ll find in pleasant remembering,
Of lifetimes lived in so short a time,
Regret and hurt fade into incomprehensible mists,
Resentment no longer resides in the tale of our tryst.
Always will I love the time we spent as one,
Finally realizing that our time together is done,
Looking back on it all...pain replaced with a warm feeling,
My inner being consoled by the time of healing...
