Putting Up


How the system works has just come to light,
Breaking your back to make it all just right.
Wheels turn and bring the dream to a halt,
Careless writing destroys...and only causes hurt.

Sitting alone and thinking...can I really spare my life,
Knowing my "stuff"...but wondering if I should jump through hoops,
Difficult decisions...deciding whether to provide what they deserve,
It's a choice...not a job...when you serve the needy masses.

I've just gotten my swing in this industry of knowledge,
Questioning everything...I'm tottering on the edge of an unknown beginning,
Lies have been taken as God given,
Putting up with all of this for a profession?

Begging one question...is it really all worth it?
