Stained Glass Pain
A pane of blue appeared upon the glassy plain,
Eyes looked into mine with silent words,
Tears speaking volumes, of a marriage in vain.
A pane of red sank softly into lead sparkled lines,
Love deeply washing over the blood colored sand,
A heart opened forth to mine, with deep crimson shine.
A pane of white crept into the sun drenched expanse,
Lips speaking kisses when brushed across the divide,
Your body felt warm, as our souls clutched and entwined.
A pane of green shone bright as light glanced divine,
Hands embraced, two hearts wrought and broken in time,
Love was true but life said nay, with bitter sublime.
A stained glass window of pain showed off its darkened panes,
Two souls were broken at the dusk of the day,
Love found and lost, in multicolored leaded lanes.
