The Circle
A fleeting moment danced,
Upon the edge all was chanced,
Had fate failed not to be taken,
A circle might have been broken.
A fluttered glance was given,
Eyes met and two souls were riven,
Two hearts one alas broken,
Hands caressed without a word spoken.
Differences so profound,
Confessions given without a sound,
Voices carried across the divide,
Would one soul's love prove to provide.
Broken paths and circle torn asunder,
Hearts in balance with solace and hunger,
Strings of phrase and apologies written,
The circle remade with two hearts smitten.
Upon the edge all was chanced,
A fleeting moment was danced,
Fate was grasped and gloriously taken,
The circle of love to never be broken.
