Video Daze

A Technological Alchemist & Modern Day Renaissance Man...

Bigger and bigger…the selection is vast,
Twenty years or less…those memories will last,
Pop in a tape and see it before it’s past,
Who ever knew technology could change so fast,
Livin' the future in those video daze.

VHS was ok…BETA was better back in the day,
The shiny disks…our false gods to which we pray,
Going from larger to smaller every day,
Entertainment passed through the looking glass yesterday,
Watching black boxes in a video daze.

Where it will all end…only the patent moguls know,
One day…we’ll be the show,
Holographic memories pressed into the crystal flow,
In strange ways…in strange days…our minds will blow,
Sitting back, relaxin' in the haze of a blissful video daze.
